Stamptivity (https://stamptivity.app) is a free, browser-based tool. This page explains what data we collect and how we use it. We believe in keeping things simple and transparent.

The Short Version

Your files never leave your device. GPX files, photos, and any content you work with in Stamptivity are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to your activity data or images.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use Stamptivity. This helps us improve the tool and understand which features are most useful.

What GA4 collects on our behalf:

Pages visited and time spent on the site
General geographic region (country or city level, not precise location)
Device type, browser, and operating system
Anonymised events such as "template selected" or "file exported"

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We cannot identify you individually from this data.

Analytics only runs if you consent. On your first visit we ask whether it's okay to use analytics cookies (see "Cookies" below). Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless, consent-denied mode and does not set its _ga cookies. You can change your answer at any time — see "Cookies" below, or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.

Local Storage

Stamptivity stores data locally in your browser to improve your experience:

Session state — your current editor state (widgets, layout, settings) so it persists if you reload the page
Saved presets — custom layouts you save within the app

This data is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data.

Cookies

We ask before any non-essential cookie is set. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (not a cookie itself) so we don't ask again on every visit.

Analytics cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) — set by Google Analytics only after you accept, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. If you reject or haven't answered yet, these are never set.

We don't run advertising today. If that changes, this section will be updated first and a separate advertising-cookie choice will be added — it won't be folded silently into the analytics choice above.

Third-Party Services

Stamptivity is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) as part of serving the site. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

Children's Privacy

Stamptivity is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
